And now for the rest of the story, as updated by Fr. “Broadway” Joe Carey, C.S.C--Rector Emeritus of Dillon Hall; leader of Men; shaper of character (among characters). According to "Broadway" Joe:   The doctor in the scrubs in the background of this picture below is Dr. Brian Ratigan of the ND Medical staff. He is a noted orthopedic surgeon now residing and practicing in South Bend.  Rocco’s Pizza owner Warren Vereramo also confirmed last night that Dr. Ratigan is a regular there. I have not yet verified where he gets his hair cut.   The name could be familiar in several ways.   Ratigan was a 4-year letterman for ND from 1989-92 and played for Lou as a linebacker. He earned his medical degree AND then his law degree.   And of course, as “Broadway” Joe concludes, Dr. Ratigan is a DILLON man. Go Big Red!   As everyone knows by now, Kyle Rudolph suffered an avulsion tearing of two tendons from the bone. Dr. Ratigan will perform the surgery Friday morning. I will be scrubbed and ready to assist.   Abe
