Remember when “sucks” was almost a curse-word and children were reprimanded for using it? Well, now it is in our vernacular and it is very concise and descriptive.  I was in line at Wawa the other day (a fabulously successful family-owned regional convenience store with over 600 locations primarily in PA and NJ). Our spots are staked-out at Joyce Lamp Post #3 at 6:07 am  by Assistants Maureen (SMC ’81) and Clare (Villanova ’12) The day portends to be very sunny and hot. Officials remain concerned for the possibilities of temperatures dropping, lightening strikes and  heavy rains sometime during the game. Tailgaters will not be deterred. USF Friday…Countdown to kickoff

We are launched… my Friday countdown blog from from ND where it is extremely warm and muggy. There is concern for weather conditions on Saturday. Two well-placed University sources shared ND’s concern for “Game Management” if lightening becomes an issue and stadium evacuation is required. It is possible that game-time kickoff temperatures will be 92 degrees and will drop 30 degrees quickly by halftime. Such a situation with rain in the forecast…
